Society for History and Culture
ASHC is a not for profit, educational corporation established in 1975 for the purpose of promoting the history of Andes and the surrounding area and to provide diverse educational and cultural programming. We are located in the historic village of Andes, NY in the heart of the Catskill Mountains.

Parthenia Davis Gift Shop at the Hunting Tavern Museum. Open when the building is staffed. Note cards, jewelry-paper, glass and carved, pottery, hand made soap, books unique to Delaware County history and work by regional artisans.

The Mission of ASHC is to preserve and present Andes history and culture to the community in ways that strive to meet professional standards and are relevant to the community.
Our Purpose…
… is to investigate, study and disseminate information concerning the history of the Town of Andes, NY; to provide for and encourage the collection, preservation and dissemination of historical knowledge and information… to provide for the collection and preservation of paper, books, records, relics and other matters and thngs of historic value or interest… to provide cultural activities and to carry on or participate in activities appropriate for the town historical association.
